October 1918. The Great War, the First World War, is nearing completion. But, unfortunately for those who are on the battlefield, there is still more than a month left for the signing of the armistice. We are in a very specific sector of the western front. Non other than at a spot in east of France, between Reims and Verdun. I speak of an extensive forest that crosses this land from north to south, called Argonne. In a matter of hours, that soil will witness a real hell that, for those who ‘taste’ history, it’s hard to imagine what their protagonists experienced.
