LAST CHANCE ITEM – NO LONGER IN PRODUCTION
Rare and old, DENIX brand fake coffee grinder, metal alloy and copper.
A real object of curiosity, this miniature mill, faithful replica of the great model sold to grocery stores and cafés, was offered in counter decoration to the best customers. It was one of the first goodies to see the day!
Estimated in the 19th century.
At that time the coffee was sold exclusively, and the grocery stores were grinds on demand for their clientele. Retail stores therefore had to be equipped with quality coffee mills and good capacity.
The horizontal tree is typical of the mills of that time. The body was made of solid and heavy alloy, the Interior covered with copper. The base allowed to collect the grind.
Later in the 19th century, the family coffee Mills made their appearance in the homes, democratized by Peugeot at the arrival of the cubic models.
It is 16.5 cm tall (6.5 inches), 8 cm wide (3.15 inches) and weighs 435 grams.
