GUNS AND THEIR HISTORY: LONDON BOMBED

On the night of 24-25 August 1940, during the Battle of Britain, a group of Nazi planes bombed London by mistake. Hitler had expressly forbidden to attack cities and civilians in order to negotiate an agreement with the British government. In response to the German bombing, the next day, on 25 August, the RAF bombarded Berlin for the first time.
